What to Wear: A Night at the Theatre

In honour of the comp we are running at the moment (Have you entered yet? Entries close tomorrow midnight!), I thought I’d put together some fashion looks for a night at the theatre during the cooler months. Alas, it is not something that happens to me very often, so my own wardrobe offered very little in the way of inspiration, but thanks to Polyvore, I can dream!

Here are three outfits that I would happily wear if I was the lucky winner of our competition. I think they’re all ideal for Size 14/16 apple shapes like me, who just happen to be on the wrong side of 40 …

1 – Black and Gold

Leather or leather look is big this season, so I’ve embraced it in this stylish ensemble. I’m not normally one for high heels but these are just darling, don’t you think?!

2 – Dusty Rose

Picking up on another trend: lace. I’m just loving this demure, almost vintage style, look!

3 – A Pop of Pink!

And my final look mixes a pop of colour with some sparkles! I love how the ring and the heels lift this outfit from possible nana status to something more hip.

How about you? Which one would you choose for a night out at the theatre? Do you own anything along these lines already?! (I have the black top and the black pants in my wardrobe already but that’s about it!)

Joining in with Trish at My Little Drummer Boys for another Wordless Wednesday!

DON’T FORGET to enter our competition to WIN a double pass to It’s My Party (and I’ll Die If I Want To) at Redlands Performing Arts Centre! Closing midnight 30 May 2013.
