A Sentence a Day

Welcome to another exciting month in the life of an ordinary, everyday, middle aged woman …

1 April – We visited the outlaws in Toowoomba for Easter Sunday, and were visited by this neighbourhood kitty – he was so friendly!

2 April – Upon discovering that Miss 21’s man has never watched Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, we promptly filled in this gap in his development.

3 April – My Outlook (email program) crashed over the weekend so I spent the morning trying to fix it … grrr … as if I didn’t have enough work to do already.

4 April – More work on fixing Outlook, however dinner that night was at Sizzler, yay – I’m particularly partial to the deep fried potato skins with sour cream and salsa, and the chocolate mousse for dessert.

5 April – It took me until lunch time, but finally I had my email program back up and running.

6 April –

7 April – The hubster was out so I watched a lovely chick flick called “No Reservations”.

8 April – I’ve worked out how to get the kidults to come over – simply text them to say: I’m making pasta pie for dinner!

9 April – Bought tickets to see Arj Barker in August, the same seats we had for Menopause the Musical as they were awesome.

10 April – There was a actually a bit of a nip to the air this morning on my walk, I guess it is Autumn after all.

11 April – Dragged out the crockpot (another sign of the change of seasons) and made a yummy silverside for dinner.

12 April – I saw a shooting star!

13 April – Headed to the Gold Coast, as we had tickets to the Diving finals at the Commonwealth Games.

14 April – My Bear bought me a puzzle from the op shop – ain’t he sweet?!

15 April – Got stuck into some dusting and paid the price with a snotty nose and sneezes for the rest of the day. Ah-choo!

16 April – Was interviewed by a journalist about what it’s like to be estranged from your mother (no word yet on when the piece will be published but you can be sure I’ll let you know).

17 April – Noticed while I was in the kitchen that Mr 23’s cat had caught a mouse out on the pergola. I hurried to get Mr 23 to come have a look, but by the time we returned, Seth had eaten it 😉

18 April – Went to a leadership seminar in the city which gave me much food for thought (and fodder for writing web content for one of my clients).

19 April – Gave an online video webinar today for Women’s Network Australia, on “How to Boost Your Business Online”.

20 April – Met up with a friend for a coffee and had such a good time, we both agreed that it had been too long between catch ups (as we exchanged Christmas presents)!

21 April – Not very exciting – my Bear did an oil change on all the cars (some days I feel like the front of our house looks like a car yard).

22 April – My Bear took me for a sunset picnic at Cleveland Point – what a romantic!

23 April – Had a couple of things blow up work wise just before I knocked off for the day, it took me quite a while to calm down afterwards …

24 April – I had a weird pain in the back of my left heel so didn’t go for my usual morning walk, thought I’d give it a rest to see if that helped (it did).

25 April – Anzac Day with the fam.

26 April – I haven’t had a flu shot in years (although my Bear has one every year) but it seems this year it’s a particularly bad strain, so I bravely presented my arm for the injection.

27 April – Very sad to attend my uncle’s funeral today, although it was lovely to catch up with family.

28 April – A visit to the op shop with my girl – I came home with 2 vests, 1 cardigan and 2 jigsaw puzzles and still had change from $20!

29 April – I popped out to the shops to return a couple of things to Kmart (hubster is very fussy about the fit of his shirts!) – that night he went fishing and brought home a couple of bream much to the delight of Fleur and Seth 😉 .

30 April – This morning it was so cool I had to wear a jumper when I left for my walk (though I took it off after a couple of kilometres), woohoo!
