Will it be third time lucky in my “Sentence a Day” challenge?!
Will I manage to write something every day?
Umm not quite … but it seems I only missed one day in November so I am getting there!
A SENTENCE A DAY IN NOVEMBER
November 1 – Today my thoughts are full of a friend who is “celebrating” her birthday – although it is in fact not much of a celebration, as her 27 year old son passed away unexpectedly only a couple of weeks ago 🙁 .
November 2 – My cherry tomato plants are bursting with fruit, picked a great big handful (which I promptly devoured!).
November 3 – We had a sausage sizzle on the BBQ in the backyard, under a gorgeous full moon.
November 4 – Typical Saturday – washing, cleaning, tidying up the house.
November 5 – After a trip to Bunnings, I planted corn, cucumber and lettuce seedlings in my vege patch, and added a fresh layer of sugar cane mulch.
November 6 – Hubster had a voucher to the local sushi place so guess where we went for dinner (Mr 23 was most impressed, he LOVES sushi!)?
November 7 – Miss Not Quite 21 and her man came over for dinner and I made that old favourite, lasagne.
November 8 – Prepared 3 quotes for potential clients today – I’m on fire!
November 9 – I had a Skype meeting with a potential client based in Sydney today – but will I get the contract?
November 10 – Hubster and I enjoyed Friday night flicks in our media room, and watched “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” on Netflix (loved it of course!)
November 11 – A busy and adrenaline packed day as I hosted the Brisbane Pop Up Blog Zone.
November 12 – Our first ever visit to Sizzler for breakfast – although it was a great feast, I found it very hard to get motivated to do anything the rest of the day with such a full stomach!
November 13 – Visited Miss Not Quite 21 and her man for dinner, and we played with the grandkitties – including the newest member of the family, 10 week old Libby.
November 14 – Another Skype meeting, this time with fellow new members of the Women’s Network Australia.
November 15 – I thought chrysanthemums only bloomed in May (in time for Mother’s Day) but my potted mums have burst into bloom again!
November 16 – Enjoyed working on another shopping centre magazine.
November 17 – I was meant to go to a local networking lunch today and was secretly relieved when it was cancelled – with so much work, I was actually thinking of sending my apologies anyway.
November 18 – A rainy day, perfect for watching a good movie on Netflix: “Stardust” (if you love a fairytale/fantasy type movie, then check it out).
November 19 – Hubster and I headed to Carindale to pick up a few small gifts for our daughter’s 21st birthday and it was a ZOO (note to self: avoid shops if at all possible between now and Christmas).
November 20 – OUR BABY GIRL IS 21 TODAY so we had a small family celebration at her favourite Italian restaurant.
November 21 –
November 22 – A visit to my favourite hairdresser for a cut and foils – I’m blonde again!
November 23 – Christmas is coming … I’ve begun my Christmas shopping, placing a couple of orders online.
November 24 – The first Christmas party of the season with Women’s Network Australia!
November 25 – Miss 21 and I did some shopping, and each put together a pack for the #itsinthebag campaign, which supplies toiletries and other necessaries to women in need.
November 26 – Playing games with Miss Fleur (although let’s be honest that happens most days!).
November 27 – The TV in our bedroom has died, we really miss being able to watch the Today show and catch up on the latest news while we get ready in the mornings.
November 28 – Visited a new networking group this morning for brunch, and met a couple of people very interested in my SEO copywriting services 🙂 .
November 29 – On the Gold Coast for the day – two client meetings (and a lovely gift of vegan meringues YUM), and a late lunch catch-up with fellow blogger and copywriter, Lyndall from Seize the Day Project.
November 30 – Doctor’s appointment today to see how things are going after three months of CPAP – I also pointed out a scab on my cheek which is not healing, and now have a biopsy booked for 12 December.
And just like that, November 2017 is done and dusted!
What were the highlights of your November?
Well done, Janet, but you know you’ll just have to keep doing this daily challenge until you fill in a whole month 🙂 A fun way to record the year. I must give it a go 🙂
I know! Will I ever manage it though?!
