To Whom It May Concern
I want to make an official complaint.
I thought the whole point of new technology was to make our lives easier – but that’s not what’s happening to me.
I mean, I’ve always had a pretty cushy life. The Middle Aged Mama doesn’t require my services very often at all, so most of the time I get to snuggle in her wallet with my friends. And that’s just how I like it.
Apparently, it wasn’t always this way. Many years ago, my great great great (great?) grand daddy worked hard for his money. I believe the Middle Aged Mama (back when she was barely out of her teens) was always pushing my great grand daddy to his limit – and sometimes even beyond.
As the years passed, she became more financially savvy.
But that’s not to say she doesn’t still enjoy fashion shopping. Our Middle Aged Mama is one avid bargain hunter! She’s the one who spots her prey from a distance, and never wavers from her target – the sale rack – whether it’s at the front or back of the store.
Now she runs her own business, she doesn’t often get to prowl her favourite hunting ground shopping mall. (Although when she does, watch out! Her quarterly shopping trips with Miss 18, her sister and niece are legendary – she sure knows how to make up for lost time!).
She dabbled in online shopping occasionally, but found it too hard to sniff out the bargains.
Introducing Fashion Lane
But now she’s discovered the Fashion Lane website, and I know my lazy lifestyle is all but over.
You see, the Fashion Lane website brings ALL the discounted sale items together on one easy to search website, from over 100 great online stores. All her favourite brands in one place – Crossroads, Jay Jays, Colette Hayman, Rivers, Glassons, Jacqui E, Katies and plenty of new ones. I tell you what, I’m shaking in my boots … I think I’m about to get a work out like never before. We’ve seen prices as low as $2 and $5!

The Middle Aged Mama particularly likes the “today’s sale items” feature. You can specify a particular item (say, skirts or belts), or shop by brand.
Needless to say, it’s making me very, very nervous!
I’m not meant to expire for a couple of years yet, but I think I’m going to be worn out long before then.
Signed,
Middle Aged Mama’s credit card.
Have you discovered the serious temptation on the Fashion Lane website?
Wow, thanks for the tip Janet. I’ve never shopped online but this site sounds like it has amazing bargains!
I must confess I’ve already given into temptation there 😉
Love it! Since my seachange I’ve been on the bloody dole more often than not, which is a bit of a shock to my system. I was never flush with money before but my mid-level government job meant I’d gotten to the point that once I paid my hefty mortgage payments each fortnight, I had cash to play with.
No longer.
The only thing my credit card gets to do these days is pay for rates, water, body corporate, health insurance bills and the like, so it must be bored to death.
Luckily as I’m not working I don’t need clothes and shoes etc… so I do save $ in that respect and interestingly I don’t miss being able to buy them.
Deb
Oh boy! Thanks Janet. Looks like you helped me find some online bargains. Now, where’s that credit card? 😉
Oh gosh, putting the blinkers on. Trying to save every penny with my daughter’s jaw surgery at the end of November. We have health insurance but there is still a $7k plus gap. OMG
Good idea Raych … look away now … but mark it in your diary to come back and check it out once the surgery is paid for!
Clever post! My credit card must be quaking in my wallet also as I’m heading over to check out this website now. I live a bargain too!
Have fun Ingrid! I’m sure you’ll find plenty! x
Whoops love not live
