The prompt for the “I Must Confess” linky this week is “micro-confessions”.
I wasn’t too sure what that meant, or if I had any … so I decided to tell a funny “little” story from when I was only “little” – does that qualify as a “micro” (little) confession?!
A Cute Story from When I was Little
When I was about 3 years old, we went to visit some friends of the family.
Sitting on their front steps was a beautiful fluffy, pure white cat. (I still love kitties to this day and regularly share #kittyspam here on the blog and on my social media accounts!)
Just as were leaving, the cat threw up on the garden path.
“Oh, poor kitty,” I apparently said. “I thought her cheeks looked pale!” (Get it?! It had a white face!)
Do you want to share a cute or funny story from when YOU were little?!

This is a cute story Janet and I love your take on the prompt! A little post about a time you were little – cute!

Aww, cute post! I am a fellow kitty lover. Will have to think of a cute story from when I was little. Mostly as a toddler, it was me throwing up in the back of the car…I had terrible car sickness for years. Definitely not a cute tale. My parents used to dread taking me out – and I would always travel with my best friend, a blue ice-cream container. Disgusting, really! x

Always good to meet a fellow kitty lover! And you poor thing … car sickness, ugh. When I was a kid I used to read in the car to make long trips bearable, sometimes it made me feel a little nauseous but luckily that was the worst I suffered. I couldn’t do it now though!

Thanks for your cute story Janet. My little story comes from when I was very young (maybe 5 or 6). We were living in a little flat in an old fishing village called Newhaven (part of Edinburgh). Our neighbour invited me in one day while she was cooking tripe (which smells revolting if you’ve ever cooked it, which I doubt) and apparently I ate a plateful of it quite happily. My Mum always enjoyed telling that story as she thought it was funny that I’d eat something so horrible (she used to cook tripe for my Dad sometimes but never liked doing it). She always used to say that I had ‘hollow legs’ as I always ate everything up on my plate (mind you she always told us to ‘think of the starving in Africa’). There’s no way you’d get me to eat it now!
Janet Camilleri says
Ugh me either! That’s so funny – it reminds me of when we wanted to get the kids to eat something they didn’t want to – all we had to do was “pretend” how yummy it was and then they just HAD to have it. Maybe that was your neighbour’s secret?!

Sounds like a good strategy with the kids Janet. In my case I think I just had no idea what I was eating and had such a good appetite I’d eat practically anything!

Too cute. I wasn’t sure what micro blogs meant or if I had any either.

Aww that’s sweet. I’m not sure if I can recall any cute things about my childhood, how bad is that?! x
Janet Camilleri says
My Mum often used to tell this story which is why I remember it so well, though I can still see the house in question in my mind!
Natalie @ our parallel connection says
You are just funny… Sad but funny… Lol

Cute story. When I was about 8 Mum took me to the hairdresser and told me that I could pick my own hair cut. I decided I wanted a hair cut like Dad. The hairdresser told my Mum my request and she pointed to my crew cut wearing Dad. The poor hairdresser was horrified and said she refused to shave my head. Luckily Mum agreed with her and we settled on a pixie cut instead!
