It’s been a year since the hubster and I went to Europe to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.
We had such a wonderful time cruising the Mediterranean, and visiting London and Singapore, it’s definitely given us a taste for more.
And with a big birthday coming up in early 2017, we definitely have an excuse to plan another trip. Preferably overseas, as we’ve already travelled most of Australia. Not sure if that will be possible however, so it might be nice to visit parts of the top end we haven’t yet been to – like Darwin and Kakadu. Norfolk Island is another possibility.
But let’s imagine for a moment that we don’t have to worry about boring details like a budget. What is my dream travel destination?
To be honest – I’m not sure!
Destination: Where?
We would love to return to London, to explore more of the UK. But … the first time was so fantastic, I Must Confess: I’m a little scared that if we go back, it won’t live up to the previous experience and I will be disappointed!
There are so many parts of Europe that we didn’t see. Paris is definitely high on the list, as is a European river cruise.
Or maybe we go somewhere completely different – like the USA, as we’ve never been. Maybe Las Vegas – some might consider it tacky, but I reckon it’s one of those places you’ve just got to see for yourself. New York also appeals. Or how about a cruise off the coast of Canada and Alaska?
The Middle East makes me nervous but there’s no doubt I’d love to see the pyramids and other wonders of Egypt.
All of our previous overseas trips have come about because we have stumbled across a really good deal, so I’m kind of hoping that once again it will be a case of serendipity … and that one of my dreams will become reality!
What is your dream travel destination?
Linking up with My Home Truths.
New York for sure. And Vegas. And Egypt. Yes to all!!!
I know! I just have to talk the hubster into it … he loves cruises (lots of food) so I think that’s the secret 😉
I think I’ve come to the realisation that i want to go EVERYWHERE! Hope you have an amazing time wherever you end up travelling next year!
LOL I hear ya Kirsty. Hubster is not as enthusiastic about travelling, but he does love a cruise so that will most likely be the way we will go 🙂
Canada is amazing, the people are so friendly and the scenery around Banff and Lake Louise is simply breathtaking. I loved Las Vegas and agree it is somewhere you just have to see for yourself.
Thanks Sarah, I definitely think Canada is pretty high on the list.
