Huzzah! At last the drought has broken …
On Easter Saturday I was going a little stir crazy so hit the shops for a bit of retail therapy, and found there were plenty of bargains to be had.
For starters, Millers had 40% off for members. So I came home with this hanky hem sundress with shirred bodice – was $30, I paid $18. Might get a couple more wears out of it before the weather cools down, and I’m sure it will be a firm favourite next summer!
BONUS – I can even get away with wearing it, without a bra 😉 . How’s that for comfort?!
And from Crossroads:
- a tank top in rose – was $24.95 marked down to $10;
- This silky top will be great for layering – and was on sale for $10 (originally $39.95) and further reduced to $5;
- A cold shoulder t-shirt top with lace panel in aubergine $20;
- And this fit and flare dress, was also $20 down from $39.95.
Yes, they are all summery items – because the reality is that’s what I wear 9 months of the year here in Bris-Vegas.
I was also in need of some new shoes, I had no black heels since my last ones fell apart several months ago.
These Diana Ferrari heels from Mathers were originally $149.95, reduced to $99.95.
However there was a “buy one pair of shoes get the second pair half price”, and Miss 20 and I both bought a pair – so it worked out to $75 each 🙂 .
And, a pair of black ballet flats from Target, reduced from $15 to $10 🙂 .
I really need to replace my black knee high boots too but just haven’t found any that I like, that are in my price range … maybe next month!
Fashionomics Report April 2017
Items bought: 7
This month’s total original ticket “value”: $319.85
I paid: $158
YTD spend: $167
What have you been spending your pennies on this month?!
I want a new casual jacket for winter but I really don’t like anything I’ve seen in the shops this season. They aren’t styles that will suit me.
It could be the time of year. I rarely find anything this time of year, the colours are all wrong for me (unless it’s summer stock that’s on sale!).
LOVE those shoes!!!
LOL of course, we know where you got your great taste from x
