Well here we are again – the end of another month – and time for the August Fashionomics Report!
Of course August also means it is the end of winter, although it’s felt like that for a few weeks now here in Bris-Vegas. It’s quite sad really – I didn’t even get to wear some of my fave winter stuff once, and now I’m putting it away for another year 🙁 .
Kmart T-Shirts
With the weather warming up, I realised there was a gap in my wardrobe – I had no big comfy t-shirts to wear over leggings. When I was sick earlier in the month, I even resorted to stealing one of the hubster’s!
So next time I was in Kmart, I picked up these two longline t-shirts for just $9 each. Although I would have preferred something more colourful, for this price I figured I could make them work 😉 .
Op Shop Bargains
A quick stop at my favourite op shop during National Op Shop Week yielded these two beauties: a Katies cold-shoulder top, perfect for Spring; and a scarf with a lovely mix of blues and earthy colours. Mind you I thought the pricing was a bit weird – the top was $3, while the scarf was $4! Still a bargain though in anybody’s language.
Crazy Cat Lady Scarf
When I saw this cute scarf from Meowingtons advertised in my Facebook feed, I just *had* to have it – being a crazy cat lady and all! Even better, it was reduced from USD $50 to $5. After adding postage, that translated to $16.23 in Aussie dollars.
As you can see, it looks great with my new thrifted top too!
