Fashionomics Report

fashionomics report

Just like that, the first quarter of 2017 is history!

And it will definitely *make history* for being one of my most frugal fashion periods EVER.

I did actually spend some money this month – but it was all at the op shop and I added less than $10 to my running total for this year.

I know. I don’t know who I am anymore either!

Latest Op Shop Bargains

One thing I love about op shopping is that you are not limited to the silly fashion cycles. Seriously, why bring out winter clothing when it is still summer?!

So the bargains I brought home this month were a mixture of summer and winter items.

What do you think of this cocktail dress? It was $6, but only cost me $3 in a half price sale.

I’ve loved this style ever since I first came across it a year or two ago, you will see something very similar in this post on how to dress a short, fuller figure.

Although I’m not a huge fan of strapless dress, for $3 I figured I could bring it home and it doesn’t matter if I change my mind. Perhaps I can make it work with a bolero or jacket over the top? Or I could always add some straps?

Here’s another excellent bargain – these grey suede shoes were brand new with tags – originally $40! At my local Salvo’s they were priced at $8, but again, it was a half price day so I only paid $4.

And finally, my love affair with scarves continues, with this gorgeous teal and silver piece – love these colours – and, only $2.

So how do you like them apples?!

Fashionomics Report March 2017

Items bought: 3
This month’s total original ticket “value”: $48
I paid: $9

Total Spend for the Year: $24

One benefit of being so frugal so far this year – when an opportunity arose for me to attend a conference in Sydney, I was able to talk the hubster into it by proving that I’d already saved some of the cost of the trip! (I’m going to CopyCon – the first dedicated copywriters’ conference here in Australia).

What was your fashion spend like in March?!
