My Favourite Cruise Food

my favourite cruise foods

It’s not secret I love going on cruising holidays – and cruise food is one of the biggest reasons.

That’s because cruise food is just plain amazing! It’s plentiful, there’s so much variety, I don’t have to cook it or clean up afterwards – what’s not to love?!

Antipasto Entree

As a veteran of five cruises, plus one culinary immersion day experience thanks to Princess Cruises earlier this year, I’ve had some amazing cruise food experiences on three different cruise lines.

My Favourite Cruise Food

Here are some of the most memorable:

Breakfast is served!

Devonshire Tea on our first ever cruise in 2009 – how young do our kids look!

I look pretty excited about genuine Italian pizza!

Chocolate and salted caramel mousse

Judging from most of the above, I have just a bit of a sweet tooth 😉 .

So I asked the hubster what his favourite cruise foods were. He loved them all, but eventually decided that having a cheese board – featuring his favourite blue vein cheese – as a regular part of the buffet, was a highlight. He also had second helpings of the mango sorbet, the night I tried limoncello cake. He must have REALLY liked it because we were so full by that stage, I can’t believe he fit it in!

Cruise Buffet or Restaurant Style

Personally, I enjoy the ritual and ceremony of fine dining in the restaurants for lunch and dinner, preferring casual buffet style – or room service – for breakfast. For hubster, the buffet wins hands down – something to do with all you can eat?!

So now that I’ve made your mouth water – what sort of cruise food would most take your fancy? And are you a sweet or savoury tooth?!
