The Perfect Men’s Business Shirt

How would you describe your husband’s fashion style?

The hubster likes to dress fairly conservatively; he’s not a trend setter, yet he always looks neat and well-groomed. Personally, I think he looks great in a polo shirt and a pair of nice shorts (but then I’m biased!).

Like men everywhere, he doesn’t particularly enjoy clothes shopping, and is keen to find what he needs quickly and get out of there!

So when he wanted to hit the shops recently to get some new gear before starting his new job, I jumped at the chance.

He’s lucky that he works in the ‘burbs, where the dress code isn’t terribly formal – no suits and ties required. Usually a business shirt or even a smart casual shirt will do the trick; as he already has a couple of favourites, we knew exactly what we were looking for.

What Does the Perfect Men’s Business Shirt Look Like?

In the hubster’s opinion, the perfect men’s business shirt:

It sounds simple enough, doesn’t it?

We came home with only ONE shirt. And even that one needs ironing!

I think the hubster is pretty typical of most middle aged men – he’s not interested in being a fashion icon (unlike his wife 😉 ). He likes to look smart but not too trendy; and he wants to feel comfortable. And like most of us, he’s busy – so he’s really not interested in mucking around with ironing (Yes Virginia, real men iron their own clothes!).

People might be mistaken in thinking that this is his favourite shirt (above). The reality is, because it doesn’t need ironing, it’s easy to pull on in the morning. If only we could find more like it – men’s clothing manufacturers take note! There are trousers that don’t need ironing – now what about creating the perfect men’s business shirt? I’m sure it would sell like hot cakes!
