I’ve shared before that at times I almost feel Un-Australian … but with Australia Day looming, I took this fun quiz and found out I’m actually about 75% Australian!

How many of these have you done? Instead of ticking them off, I’ve highlighted the ones I’ve done in bold …
- Heard a kookaburra in person.
- Slept under the stars.
- Seen a koala. (We used to get them the trees in our yard all the time!)
- Visited Melbourne.
- Watched a summer thunderstorm.
- Worn a pair of thongs (flip-flops for the non-Aussies).

- Held a snake. (Although I was in Vanuatu at the time – does that count?!)

- Used an outside dunny, and checked under the seat before sitting down.
- Seen Chloe in Young & Jackson’s. (Apparently it’s an old nude painting in a bar in Melbourne?)
- Slept on an overnight train or bus.
- Been to Sydney’s Mardi Gras.
- Have gone bush-bashing.
- Taken a sickie (shhhhh!).
- Been to see a game of Aussie Rules football.
- Have seen wild camels.
- Gone skinny dipping.
- Done a Tim Tam Slam.
- Ridden in a tram in Melbourne.
- Been at an ANZAC day Dawn Service.
- Watched a sunrise or sunset.
- Held a wombat.
- Been on a roadtrip of 800km or more.
- Seen the Great Australian Bight in person.
- Had a really bad sunburn. (On my honeymoon – can you imagine it?! Don’t touch me dear, I’m in agony!)
- Visited an Aboriginal community.
- Seen a redback spider. (Like, everyday in the house we lived in when the kids were small … )
- Have watched Paul Hogan.
- Seen Blue Poles in person. (Another painting I’m told!)
- Wandered barefoot in the bush/outback. (No way I’ve got tender little tootsies!)

- Visited Brisbane. (I grew up in Brissie and still live on its outskirts …)
- Been in an outback pub (the one at Silverton that was used in the Mad Max movie!)
- Know what the term “Waltzing Matilda” actually means.
- Gone whale watching (in Hervey Bay, Straddie, and Cape Leeuwin in WA).
- Listened to Slim Dusty.
- Own five or more Australian movies or TV series.
- Sang along to Down Under.
- Have stopped specifically to look at an historic marker by the side of the road.

- Watched the cricket on Boxing Day. (Probably, but not by choice)

- Hit a kangaroo while driving (as a passenger – does that count?!).
