The Kitty Speaks …

I does love my hoomans. I do. But I’m beginning to wonder if they loves me back.

I mean, that boy is still here – but what’s happened to the rest of them?

I keep miaowing outside their door but nobody ever goes in, and nobody ever comes out. Most unusual.

The Kitty Speaks!

It’s not that I miss them. I mean, I’m a kitty. Like any kitty I am perfectly fine on my own, and only want love and pats when *I* want love and pats. Which is usually first thing in the morning, much to Mummy’s annoyance. I like to give her a big kiss good morning by pressing my cold wet little nose into her cheek to wake her up – it never fails to get her moving, though she doesn’t really seem to appreciate it.

I had another Mummy when I was a baby – Mama Suzie. I went to live with her when I was only two weeks old. I’m told she used to give us our bottles, and had to wipe our little tushies to encourage us to use the litter tray! Not that I remember. I did love living with Mama Suzie, and soaking up the sunshine on her window sill, but with Puddin’, her own cat, and my three brothers, it was hard to get the special attention I deserved. So much competition!

I used to dream of finding my very own furever family, where I could be an only kitty and treated like a princess, with a furever Mummy to call my own. I never dreamed that I would get a furever Daddy too! Daddies are so much fun. My furever Daddy always thinks up great games to play with me. Mummy’s great for cuddles but if I want to play – well, Daddy’s the man. He even built me a cat castle in the shape of a row boat, with hidey holes and carpet on the sides for me to race up at 100 kilometres an hour when I am in one of my crazy moods.

But Mummy and Daddy haven’t been here for a while, which is weird, because Mummy is ALWAYS here. I like to jump up on her desk and demand attention when she’s trying to work. It drives her crazy because she has a touch screen, and so I “might” just have a little bit of fun “accidentally” waving my tail against it … ahem. And the best place for a nap is on top of whatever papers she is using.

That boy is looking after me, which is not too bad except he doesn’t like waking up early in the morning so I have to miaow EXTRA LOUD to get breakfast. When Mummy’s here we have a little game we play. Whenever he comes into Mum’s office when we are working, I miaow straight away, jump down to the floor and roll over to show him how very soft the fur is on my tummy. He can never resist and always gives me a good rub.

While Mum and Dad are away, I’ve got this strange shiny silver litter tray. That boy picks it up each night, throws it in the wheelie bin and gets a new one out for me. I overhead Mummy say it was the only way she could convince him to clean my litter while she was away. So I knew she was going but I didn’t think she’d be gone THIS long.

I’m getting a little anxious about it to be honest. Luckily I still have some of my box left to chew when I get anxious. My cat grass is looking a bit sad though. I don’t think that boy has remembered to water it.

And that girl has come over a few times too. She smells nice and I especially like the smell of her handbag. I like to jump and pounce on it and play hide and seek. She smells a bit like Mummy but it’s not quite the same.

I think it’s time for another catnap … have you seen my hoomans lately?!

Love,

Miss Fleur xxx
