Would you turn to this woman for style, fashion and beauty ideas?!
Even despite this oh-so-glamourous pic from our stay on a farm last year. It was taken first thing in the morning, so I have bed hair and no makeup, and have simply pulled a pair of denim pants over my nightie (at least it’s leopard print), thrown my oldest jumper on top, and added black gum boots. Yep, that’s a woman of style right there 😉 .
And who can forget this hair horror …
And yet … I’ve been doing some deep diving “behind the scenes” into my blog stats, and considering the above pics, I Must Confess that I was a little surprised that beauty and fashion account for two-thirds of my top ten posts in 2014!
See for yourself:
- Pros and Cons of Gel Nails – This post from 2013 was fun to write, as I got to interview myself!
- Found: Jeans for an Apple Figure – Sharing my excitement over finally finding my perfect jeans. I’ve even gone back and bought more, this year!
- How to Wear Purple Skinny Jeans – A guest post where Belinda from B Being Cool came to my fashion rescue.
- I’m a Certified Knitwit – Seems I’m not the only one that did a Knitwit course back in the 1990’s, and still enjoys stretch sewing.
- What to Wear on a South Pacific Cruise – Little did I know when I wrote this post, that I would be going on another South Pacific Cruise at the end of 2014!
- When Acrylic Nails Won’t Stick – Sometimes beauty tips and treatments don’t work; so in this post I share the alternative that worked for me.
- Budget Friendly Gift Ideas for Mother’s Day and Comp – Last May, I was delighted to present this fashion post and competition in conjunction with Millers Fashion.
- Aussie Blogs for Middle Aged Women – Seems I’m not the only one looking around for blogs by women who are (ahem) more mature!
- Whatever Happened to Coffee Scrolls? – And that there are just as many of you out there who are mourning the loss of these goodies from the Arnott’s range.
- Rusticks Chocolate & Tapas Bar – Chocolate and tapas – what’s not to like? A review of a cafe in my local area.
So in 2015, I promise to serve up more fashion and beauty from the real world – bed hair, no makeup, nighties, and gum boots 😉 – plus my usual ramblings, rovings and the realities of life as a middle aged mama!
Which post here at Middle Aged Mama has really stuck in your head? I’d love to know!
Linking up with My Home Truths for a Monday confession.
