What does 2014 have in store?

Janet Camilleri · 01/01/2014 ·

goal setting

So what does 2014 have in store? Coz it’s here whether you’re ready – or not!

I have to say: “Not!”

I’m not really too sure what I want out of 2014, or what it wants out of me.

The biggest thing in my calendar so far is way off in December, when I will be going on a South Pacific cruise with my sister and 2 of our best friends – a whole girlie week! I’m no stranger to cruising, but this will be the first time with friends, rather than family. I’m sure it will be an absolute hoot!

I’ve joked that I’d like my business (copywriting, blogging, creating and maintaining WordPress websites, SEO, and social media coordination) to bring in twice the income this year (without twice the workload, of course!). Not too sure at this stage how I can make that happen – but this is one of the good things about having your own business. It can be risky – but really, the sky’s the limit!

Of course I’m looking forward to great things here on Redland City Living – not quite sure what they are yet but I’m sure I’ll figure it out as I go 😉

In May, the hubster and I will celebrate 24 years of marriage and our son will turn 20.

Our girl will turn 18 in November.

And I am 47 next week. Yikes!

So that’s what 2014 holds for me so far.

What does 2014 have in store for you?!

Oh how I wish I was 47 again! As you know I’m planning on heading off in our caravan touring Australia for six months so that is going to be huge. It is great to have something to look forward to and the cruise you are proposing in December will definitely be fun. Hope you have a great 2014 and a Happy Birthday next week.

Your year sounds exciting Janet. What a young 47 you are. Happy Birthday for next week. My plans are to do well at what responsibilities I already have. Praying for a great year for you and your business! x

      What a sweet compliment! Thanks Bec. I don’t feel 47 – more like 35 😉

I’ve never been on a cruise but Scotto and I are planning on investigating the prospect for 2014. Good luck with everything you wish for Janet.

Pinky, you just can’t go past a cruise for an affordable and relaxing holiday!

I think I want to go on a cruise – one where I don’t have to do much but relax and doing it without the kids, sounds pretty good too!! As for me and 2014, I really don’t know what it holds. I know I have visions of what I would like it to be like, but just not sure how to get there and make them a reality!.

We’ve been on 2 cruises now and both times our kids refused point blank to go to the kids/teen clubs … I think they missed the chance to have a great time with kids their own age. Strange kids, they preferred to hang with us! LOL

Hello Janet! I’m just stopping by quickly to wish you a very happy New Year 2014 full of good things! Best wishes to you and your family! I’ve been very bad at blogging and commenting lately because my parents are here from Canada. But I had such a great time with them!
I hope 2014 is holding fantastic things for you! Your birthday is this week! What date? Happy Birthday too then and all the best! Good health, happiness, peace and success!
