White pants – yay or nay?!
I’m all about the big questions here on Middle Aged Mama 😉 .
Proof that I have indeed been known to rock white pants …
So I asked around to see what others had to say …
Say Yes to White Pants!
Em: I love them but haven’t had a pair for a while. Looking for a high-waisted low-stretch denim version.
Renee: I’ve done white shorts, but not pants.
Kirsty: I have white shorts but I haven’t yet tried white pants. But I’d seriously consider it!

Mel: They are often quite see-through, and I don’t enjoy seeing other people’s undies, particularly on older women.
Tracy: No no NO!! It’s what old people wear on cruises!!!!!
Vanessa 1: Nope. I don’t have the nickname Messy Nessy for nothing.
Vanessa 2: I’ve had them once before and wouldn’t again … they got stained and I never got the stains out.
Sanch: I’m not (one for white pants) because I spill stuff a lot….especially stuff with turmeric that stains forever!
Tegan: I had a science teacher who would wear skin tight white jeans while going commando and the thought of white pants makes me shudder.
Lisa 1: Not a great look if you are carrying too much weight like I am!
Anissa: Not a fan – seen too many undies underneath!
Lisa 2: I am in the non-White pant camp. I am yet to see a normal person who can wear them well.
It’s a Definite Maybe
Miss 19: I feel that skinny 3/4 pants are okay, but baggy daggy shorts on the knee: just no.
Denyse: White pants were part of my wardrobe as a (much!) younger woman and were a beachy-combo for me … rarely worn unless on the coast.
Are sweet (skinny) young things the only ones who can rock white pants?
Zita: I love the idea of white pants/jeans but then can never quite go through with it! I think it’s my hips! I’m also not a big fan of when you can see the pockets and seams of white shorts and some white pants…
But the absolute last word on the White Pants Debate has to go to my bloggy mate Zilla, who summed it up this way: “White pants are the extreme sport of fashion – scary and risky and have a high probability of turning into disaster … If you want to live on the edge, go for it!”
How about you – do you rock white pants or avoid them like the plague?!
Never been a fan of white pants, they don’t stay white very long…

I am not a white-panter. They make me think of eastern-surburbs matrons worn with metallic shoes and a bold print caftan style top but I accept some people rock them otherwise.

Yes I LOVE white pants. I need to get some more for this summer. But you must buy your white pants AND Napisan to keep them looing white!
Love white capri pants, although I’ve been known to wear baggier three quarter length linen pants too. I do love them because they go with so many different things and protect my legs (mostly) from the sun – oh dear that probably makes me a ‘daggy old cruise lady!’ Guilty as charged 😉
