Australian Blogger Linky Parties

Janet Camilleri · 18/05/2016 ·

Have you been looking for some Australian blogger linky parties to join?

Aussie blogger linky parties

The blogosphere can be a mighty big space, so linkups are a great way to find your community online, especially when you are starting out.

These days, I usually only join two per week – I Must Confess with My Home Truths, and I Blog On Tuesdays with Essentially Jess (kind of have to join that one seeing as I’m on the Team and all!). It can sometimes take me all week to get around to visiting and commenting on the other posts in these blog linkups, so I figure that’s enough for me.

However, when I get a spare moment I like to check out what other link parties are around. Link parties are a great way to find other new blogs, and to network and connect with other bloggy types. Oh, and they can also help with growing your own blog, too πŸ˜‰ .

Australian Blog Link Ups

Here are just a few for you to consider:

Monday

  • I Must Confess with My Home Truths
  • Open Slather with One Mother Hen
  • Monday Makeup Madness with Fabulous and Fun Life
  • Mummy Mondays, hosted by All Mum Said
  • #MG over at Reflections from Me.

Tuesday

  • I Blog On Tuesdays (also known as IBOT) with Essentially Jess (in fact, I’m a Team IBOT All Star!)

Wednesday

  • Wordless Wednesday with My Little Drummer Boys
  • Worth Casing Wednesday with Agent Mystery Case
  • Wardrobe Wednesday with Kimba Likes
  • Fresh Fashion Forum linkup with Sydney Fashion Hunter

Thursday

  • Thriving on Thursday with Domesblissity
  • Home Improvement Thursday, hosted by The Plumbette and The Builder’s Wife

Friday

  • Weekend Rewind with Maxabella Loves
  • Flog Your Blog Friday (#fybf) at With Some Grace

Weekends

  • Saturday you can always fall down The Ultimate Rabbit Hole, which is hosted by The Annoyed Thyroid, Calm to Conniption, and My 2Morrows.
  • Weekend Travel Inspiration – various hosts, including The Contented Traveller (an Aussie blog)
  • Enjoy your Sunday with the Lovin’ Life Linky, over at the Deep Fried Fruit blog.
  • Life and Style Linkup with Flat Bum Mum.

Monthly

  • Aussie Giveaway Linkup hosted by Agent Mystery Case
  • In My Kitchen – first of the month – hosted by Maureen at the Orgasmic Chef.
  • Review Roundup goes live on the first of each month, at Mamma Raj Says.

When joining blog linky parties, it’s always best to follow their particular guidelines – these usually include having a link on your blog to the host, as well as visiting and commenting on other blogs that link up.

As a regular “joiner” at two blog link ups, I now have a pretty good idea of who links and runs (doesn’t play by the rules) and it has lowered my opinion of, and visits to, their blogs. It’s just not good blogging etiquette.

Are there any other Australian blog link ups that I should add to my list?!

Thanks for the shout out. No real rules for Worth Casing Wednesday but I do occasionally try to reinforce a bit of blogging linkup etiquette. I’m not really sure what the benefit is in linking and running. The more you put in, the more you are going to get out of it.

That’s my thoughts exactly Raych. Which is why I only join a couple each week – if I join, I want to do it justice πŸ™‚

This is a great list! I didn’t know about some of them and will look forward to connecting with a few more. Thank you also for the mention of our Thursday link up, really appreciate your support. xx

Hi Nicole, I did a list a few years back and realised that things had changed a lot, it was fun creating the new list!

Thanks for including me Janet. I appreciate it. I’d love to see more Aussie linky parties. I’ll have to go visit those ones I’m not familiar with. Thanks for putting this together.

    Anne xx

Hi Janet, always good to see this list highlighted. I link up with one or more each day. I do think that if you link you so need to comment.. Certainly to the host of course & maybe, as I do now, find some new bloggers to read & comment.
On Saturdays I link with Sammie at The Annoyed Thyroid with the link The Ultimate Rabbit hole which she shares with My2Morrows and From Calm to Conniption! Denyse

Yay for being a regular for #imustconfess – I love having you join in each Monday! I also like Ultimate Rabbit Hole linkup on the weekend, hosted by The Annoyed Thyroid, Calm to Conniption & My2Morrows. Great resource here Janet!

Denyse mentioned this one too, I will have to check it out. I try to have at list one “digital detox” day per weekend so that might be why I never noticed it.

Thanks so much for including the Lovin’ Life Linky … and for giving us an up-to-date place to find others!! Great idea.

Seeing as I am on social media pretty much all week for work, I try to avoid it mostly on the weekends, which is the only reason I haven’t actually joined it yet!

I was so excited to see this post, when I saw the link on Twitter I had to click and read. As an Aussie blogger I find it hard to find other Aussie blogs. I can’t wait to check out the ones on your list and join some new link ups YAY!

I also have a link up called #mg short for Mackenzie Glanville and it is open on Mondays for a few days for any posts. One post per week per person, any topic welcome. Over on reflectionsfromme.com I would love if you could add me to your list.

Can’t wait to go read these blogs now, thank you!!! Have a great week xx

Oh Janet, YOU are a rock star. I was just thinking this weekend, I miss spending my Saturday afternoons with a wine and the iPad flipping through blogs. I didn’t even know where to start to find the ones that are new/still going/all that. Haha. You’ve sorted me out. Thanks lady!

Glad I could help you with your bloggy addiction πŸ˜‰ ! I did a similar post a couple of years back and couldn’t get over how much the linkies have changed in that time!

Thanks for including #reviewroundup on your list. Totally chuffed! I started this as I felt there wasn’t a specific link up for product reviews out there. People can link up anytime they have a fab review throughout the month to make it easy and I’ll
always show the love back to help extend the reach to share back with the brands you are working with. Thanks again!!!

I think it’s a great idea – so glad to have found out about it!

For travel bloggers there is one called Travel Photo Thursday co-hosted by Budget Travel Talk, Budget Travellers Sandbox, Tanama Tales and Rachel’s Ruminations. Yes I agree that not everyone shares the love!

Link parties are great and I appreciate the work that goes into hosting them! I always try and click a few other posts – sometimes it’s hard if you’ve already read them via your reader but agree you should try and comment on at least one or two!

    • Janet Camilleri says

      25/05/2016 at 5:09 pm

That’s the thing Beth – so long as you make an effort to comment on some, I don’t think anybody expects us to comment on all of them. Ain’t nobody got time for that!!!!
