Autumn/Winter 2014 Wardrobe Planning

Janet Camilleri · 11/03/2014 ·

It’s that time of year again – although the heat is still with us, I can’t resist doing a little bit of Autumn/Winter 2014 wardrobe planning!

I’m very blessed to have some great basics already. This will be my second Winter working from home, which is great because I can wear uggboots and a Snuggy if I want to – there’s nobody here to see ;-).

I have black leggings, black jeans, and dark denim jeans; a chambray shirt; black leather (look) jacket; black knee high boots; and a good black coat, as well as plenty of shirts and other odds and ends, ready for the Winter season.

So what I’m lusting after this Winter are items similar to these …

There are a couple of basics there as you can see: a white shirt (I have one, but it’s falling apart); and a black short sleeve sweater (ditto).

I’ve already purchased the leopard print leggings and denim knit skirt from Sussan, as well as a red jacquard pencil skirt from Best and Less, for a whole $15. Score!

I’d really love a soft pink knit sweater and some black suede mary janes, and a scarf with pink tones as well.

And seeing as I’m dreaming here, wouldn’t it be great to have a lovely poncho/shawl like the one pictured, and a colourful tunic top?

I was surprised when I did this planning exercise on the blog here last year, just how much I achieved from my wish list, so I thought it was worthwhile doing it again. You just never know …

What’s on your fashion wishlist for Winter 2014?

I would really like a pair of leopard print leggings too Janet. I think I might have seen the same ones you have in Sussan. I also need a new pair of black jeans as my old ones are worse for wear and I love those animal print loafers (shoes). So I’m really going a bit animal this Autumn! Ha ha.

Great idea having a wish list and plan for when your shopping. I blogged about doing similar things today too 🙂

Wow! What a great score at Sussan and Best N Less. I have my eye on a pair of leopard print leggings and a pair of tartan leggings! (much to hubby’s disgust haha)

Hmmm…..Winter fashion wishlist! I honestly don’t know to tell you the truth, but I will definitely need new clothes as mine are getting way to big! I’m with you on the soft pink cardigan or jumper though, with black or charcoal pants and flats. I think they’re my first items on that wish list!

I’m going to get some legging and rock those suckers with my boots, it doesn’t matter I’ll look like a giraffe because they are so tall and so am I! x

Well, because of my fluctuating size 😉 I shall be investing into my shoe wardrobe. I need to get some ankle boots and black ballet flats. I am really lusting after Zoe Kratzmann boots but they are a bit out of my price range. Sigh. Maybe I need to do a vision board like you and see what I end up getting. 🙂

Yes it’s a bit tough when you are pregnant. Go the shoes I say!

I’m looking for a poncho/shawl like that one too Janet. I live in jeans in winter, usually with ballet flats.
I’m loving that pink sweater too. x

Oh Janet… It really looked like a winter day today in Melbourne and I couldn’t believe it was already time to get out the winter clothes (not that they were very far being in Melbourne!) I really need some new ballerina flats and classic black high heel shoes.

I’ve got some coral and charcoal leopard print leggings that will be getting a big work out this winter. Can’t wait for it to cool down again so I can actually wear them!

Great idea to create an image board of wishlist items!

Thanks for joining the Wardrobe Wednesday Glam Squad! x

Janet, every season I say I’m “gonna” wardrobe plan, but always seem to end up with my usual “smash n grab” shoppping method. You’ve just inspired me to actually DO it this year! x

It’s amazing how it can really guide you when shopping – you can still smash n grab but with a bit of direction!

I have nothing to wear. At all. A couple of pairs of jeans and two long sleeve tops which are very casual but nothing even remotely dressy. I’m dreading winter a little bit.

LOVE THIS! I need all the wardrobe help I can get at the moment. Actually, I think I really need you to look at my LBD (Bianca) and have you style it for me for at least one week. Would love to see your take on it.

Great wish list, I’d really like some new knits. I’m loving that a lot of last winters elements are still current so winter wardrobe is already looking quite healthy 🙂

I am hanging out for boot season! I do need some nice shirts, a couple of cardigans and maybe two new blazers.
