It all started with this picture.
One of Miss 16’s friends shared it on Facebook and tagged my daughter about a year ago.
Except it isn’t actually Miss 16. It’s Katy Perry – we were all struck with the resemblance.
In real life, Miss 16 doesn’t really look all that much like Katy Perry. But in some photographs, it’s a different story. See for yourself!
Miss 16’s not the only one with a celebrity lookalike. Many years ago, people often told me I looked like Meg Ryan. However plastic surgery (Meg’s, not mine) has changed all that.
The hubster used to be known for his resemblance to Clark Kent (as in Superman). Something to do with the glasses I think!
At a recent family gathering we were trying to work out everybody’s celebrity double. I can’t share pics of my family members for privacy reasons, but here are the celebrities that most look like them:

When I was younger, and my hair was a LOT blonder, I was told by many people I looked like Reese Witherspoon, I think it was the chin! 🙂
My brother from certain angles looks like Murray the Red Wiggle…..a friend looks like Jeff the Purple Wiggle, and the kids think their daddy looks like Anthony the Blue Wiggle. We just need someone to look like Sam (or Greg) and we will have our own band!! 🙂
Actually I can still see a resemblance in your profile pic. Your family and friends could make serious money as Wiggles lookalikes I reckon – but can they sing and play instruments?!
In Italy many moons ago, Japanese people kept getting their photo with me, and Italians kept staring at me – and finally I said to a man standing near me, when some Japanese stopped me for a photo “I don’t know why they keep doing that” and he said “It’s because you look like that lady on the tv. You know…funny lady” I actually don’t know who they meant???
Wouldn’t it be cool to find out WHO you resembled?!

Lol. Your poor brother in law. You definitely look like Meg and your daughter could def get a gig as a Katy Perry double. People say I look like Jennifer Love Hewitt. I’m happy with that. Once I was told I look like Miranda from Sex in the City. I was not so happy with that 🙂
Fortunately my B-I-L is a good sport! Yep, I think I can see the Jennifer Love Hewitt likeness too.
Your daughter is beautiful! When I was younger, everyone (seriously, even strangers) used to say I looked like Tina Arena off Young Talent Time. I hated it because I wanted to be confused with Joan Jett.

Poor brother in law! My sister in law actually resembles Princess Fiona, from Shrek – sadly in ogre form, not human – but without the green skin. I don’t think I would ever tell her this, though!

Some say my sister looks like Olivia N-John and my dad has mutton chop facial hair and reminds me of the dad from The Darling Buds of May 🙂

This is how behind I am, I didn’t even know Meg had had surgery. I don’t think I look like anyone. No one has ever said I have anyway

Funny! And I often find myself thinking that one family member or another looks like a muppet. I have an uncle who has been mistaken for complete strangers more than once as Rolf Harris. But he’s not as good a singer 🙂
Hopefully he hasn’t been tarred with the negative press Rolf has been getting lately, either!
You really did look like Meg Ryan and your daughter definitely bears a resemblance to Katy Perry! Funny, in some cases only certain people see the resemblance. For eg I swear one of my nephews looks like Jake Wall (Jennifer Hawkins hubby) but only one other person sees it 🙂
I did get agreement with my cousin looking like Katie Holmes – and perhaps a little like Princess Kate – think it’s the smile/chin.
