A Collage of My Life Story

Janet Camilleri · 11/02/2015 ·

For some reason this week, I was reminded of the time I made a collage of my life story while on a women’s retreat:

Although I intended to use pictures, somehow I ended up with this amazing collection of words instead – they just seemed so appropriate. I suppose I shouldn’t have been surprised – I just love words – writing them, reading them, playing with them, re-arranging them, thinking about them, dreaming them, singing them, speaking them … well you get the idea!

Would you believe – I made it five years ago – almost to the day! Coincidence?!

Did you learn something new about me from the collage, or is there a word that you’d like to know the story behind?

A great collection of words! Over the last 2.5 years, I’ve got to know you and a bit about your childhood and past so most of the words don’t shock me. I understand the meaning behind most … but you were ‘homeless’?

It is indeed Trish. I was a couch surfer when I was 19/20 – I blogged about it here: https://middleagedmama.com.au/i-was-homeless-as-a-teenager/ x

So much I don’t know about you Janet, but so many little snippets here that I half know about. What a wonderful collection of words which lead the reader to fairly strong response emotions. I’d like to know more about your “Dream”.

Hi Jo – great question! My dream was to run a women’s magazine – which I did for 15 years – and write a book – which I did in 2003; and also to raise a family. I’m lucky that all these dreams have been achieved 🙂 … but now I find myself in the position of looking for some new dreams. I guess to have a successful web writing business and blog is my dream these days!

Meet the Middle Aged Mama

Janet Camilleri is an Australian bloggerHi - I'm Janet Camilleri aka the Middle Aged Mama; crazy cat lady, award-winning business woman, and mother of two grown children. I might be a middle aged woman, but that doesn't mean I've lost all interest in looking stylish! I love chocolate, chick lit, cruising holidays and the husbear - and not necessarily in that order wink. I live in Brisbane, Australia, and I'm learning how to fashion a new life now that we have an empty nest - did somebody say "travel"?!
