DIY Care Package for Women

Janet Camilleri · 13/03/2018 ·

Do you have any women in your life – a sister, friend, daughter, neighbour or mother – whom are finding life tough?

It could be a difficult marriage breakup; the loss of a loved one; a hospital stay; a child that has gone off the rails; or a redundancy. You want to do something to cheer them up and show that you care – to give them hope, encouragement and comfort.care package for women

While flowers are always a nice idea, there is nothing like the personal touch – so why not put together a DIY care package?

If you’re stuck for ideas, I’ve come up with a list of items that you might like to include …

Care Package for Women: Ideas

  • A pretty facecloth: to wash away your troubles
  • A pot holder or oven glove: for when life gets too hot to handle
  • Marbles: for when you feel like you’ve lost yours …
  • Mints: because you are worth a mint to your family and friends
  • A candle: to remind you there’s a light at the end of the tunnel (this could be a fancy scented one, or a slender tapered candle if you are planning to post your care package)
  • A piece of string: for when you feel you’re at the end of your rope, this will help you hang on a bit longer
  • A hand held fan: to help you keep your cool (especially during the hot flushes of midlife!)
  • And finally, how about a balloon for when you just need to blow something up!

Make sure you include a card listing the reasons you have chosen these specific items. You could include any or all of them, to make a care package that is loving, humourous and personal, and sure to touch the heart of any woman.

Plus, most of the items are small and light weight, which means you can post them if need be.

Of course if you can think of anything else that would work well in a care package for women, make sure you leave a comment below!

Meet the Middle Aged Mama

Janet Camilleri is an Australian bloggerHi - I'm Janet Camilleri aka the Middle Aged Mama; crazy cat lady, award-winning business woman, and mother of two grown children. I might be a middle aged woman, but that doesn't mean I've lost all interest in looking stylish! I love chocolate, chick lit, cruising holidays and the husbear - and not necessarily in that order wink. I live in Brisbane, Australia, and I'm learning how to fashion a new life now that we have an empty nest - did somebody say "travel"?!
