March turned out to be a very quiet month for me, fashion-wise.
(But very busy, business-wise – could there be a link here? As in, when I’m busy with work, I don’t get to go shopping?!)
The February blahs continued. I’m sorry, but I just *can’t* get excited about autumn/winter fashion, when the temperature is still over 30 degrees every day.
So where did I spend my hard-earned cash this month?
Fashionomics Report: March
At the op shop of course, which is not as strictly bound to the “seasons” of the fashion world!
Tribal Print Dress – I love the colours of the print on this dress, in all my favourite colours – various shades of aqua, teal, taupe and chocolate brown. As my sister said when I showed her – it’s very me! (And, I match my home decor as a bonus ๐ ).
The dress was actually a size 20 with a Best and Less label on it, so I took it in on each side, and ran a dart up the back to make it fit. It cost me $5.
Statement Necklace – I’ve been keeping an eye out for a statement necklace in coral throughout the summer, and did see some I liked at Katies but with a price tag of $30-$40 I left them in the store. Then I stumbled across this little beauty at the op shop – brand new with tags!
From Adorne, it was originally priced at $39.95 but I got it for $10 – which is a lot to pay at an op shop, it’s true. I first saw it the day I bought the dress, but hesitated over the price. Needless to say I then thought about it all weekend so went back to get it on Monday morning first thing ๐ .
Here’s the proof – tags below …
Which brings me to this month’s figures …

What fashion goodies did you bring home this month?!

You did well Janet. I barely have enough time to go clothing shopping these days and I can never be bothered sifting through the Op Shop clothing. I agree that it is hard to be inspired with Autumn clothing because of this relentless heat, but I did see a particularly pair of brown suede ankle boots which I just might have to have at the shopping centre last week!

They sound perfect! My knee high black boots are very worn, I’m going to need to replace them this winter I think …

I just spent the whole day in Brisbane with my daughter and I didn’t buy a thing. I can’t get enthused about winter clothing either when it’s still 30 odd degrees!

So glad I’m not the only one. I did some shopping today and same … came home with 2 summer nighties which I wear all year round!
