Latest Op Shop Bargains: Summer 2015

Janet Camilleri · 09/12/2015 ·

It’s been a while now since I shared my latest thrifted finds with you, so check out these great op shop bargains …

Suzanne Grae dress

I discovered the style and comfort of shift dresses when I was doing Frocktober, so I jumped on this gorgeous number which set me back all of $3.50. The label is Suzanne Grae, and it’s fully lined and oh-so-classy … well I think so anyways 😉 !

book and clutch

Miss 19 and I checked out a Suitcase Rummage at the Redland Performing Arts Centre on the weekend, even though we are both broke at the moment (Miss 19 is off work due to her ice-skating injury, and I’m just trying to be a bit more budget-minded so not really broke but it doesn’t sound as good, does it?!).

I came home after spending only $3 – so that’s pretty frugal! I spent $1 on a novel by one of my favourite chic lit authors, Jane Green, and $2 on a glittery black clutch by Colette. Not sure I’ll have any occasions that call for an evening clutch, but if I do, I’m ready!

palm tree dress from Salvos Stores

Another shift dress! Can you see a bit of a pattern in my spending and style habits?!

I’m in love with the pretty sunset colours and the palm leaf print on this frock. The back is plain black and quite sheer, so it needs a slip underneath – but that’s not a problem, I have a couple of black slips to choose from.

My new dress cost $6 – gotta be happy with that!

So that’s my story … would love to hear about YOUR latest op shop bargains so make sure you leave a comment below!

When I lived in Geelong I Op shopped weekly – Melbourne have the most amazing Op shops. I think this has got something to do with the fact that the hace3such changes in weather clothes don’t wear out.
Nowadays working full time I find I’m time poor but I think I need to make time after seeing all your fabulous finds.

Both dresses look great, Janet. I especially love the palm tree one. So summery.

Love your bargains Janet! My op shop bargains are usually sheep coffee mugs or sheep stuffed toys 🙂

You did very well with your purchases Janet. I love both stripes and the palm print that is fashionable at the moment. Good job!! I just can’t be bothered with Thrift Shops. 🙂

Fantastic bargains, Janet! Love that clutch and those shift dresses – perfect for the hot summery days we’re bound to keep getting. I love reading about and seeing other people’s bargains…though it does give me a craving to go out and shop again!
