Meet the Grandkitties!

meet the grandkitties

You’ve met the Middle Aged Family. You even get the odd blog post from my kitty, Miss Fleur.

Well, now it’s time to meet the grandkitties!

Annabelle on left; Delilah on right

Like Miss Fleur, Annabelle and Delilah are indoors only cats. They are both rescue kitties, about 3 years old. And they are both very fluffy (or full of ‘floof’ as we like to say)!

Yes, we spoil our grandkitties – we brought them a pot of cat grass to enjoy

I will now introduce them alphabetically (because like all good grandparents, I don’t want to show favouritism to one or the other):

Meet Annabelle

I’m wearing a floaty top from the Portobello range by Vivid International*.

We are pretty sure Miss Annabelle has a fair bit of the ragdoll breed in her. She’s exceptionally fluffy, and has the most placid nature of any cat I’ve ever met. And she loves cuddles!!! (Miss Fleur could learn a thing or two from her I feel. Wait. If I have grandkitties, does that mean Miss Fleur is now an auntie? Oh my goodness this is all getting too confusing.)

Annabelle loves to lie on the bed, where she almost becomes invisible on the white covers … it’s kitty camouflage!

Hiding in plain sight!

With so much fur, Annabelle sometimes gets a bit messy after a visit to the litter box and needs to be washed. Luckily she doesn’t mind going in the shower!

Meet Delilah

Wearing a Portobello dress* by Vivid International. I think Miss Lilah approves!

Miss Lilah is the most recent addition, and the yin to Annabelle’s yang. She looks like a kitten herself yet we are told she had already given birth to two litters of kittens before she was fixed, and subsequently adopted by Miss 20.

Selfies with Lilah

Lilah is a bit shy but is gradually relaxing into her new home, especially since they bought a couch – she is a real couch cat! She also loves sitting on the windowsill to soak up the sun.

Couch cat!

You should see the way she looks at her mummy – with big love heart eyes, it’s very sweet to see.

Cuddles with Lilah. Dress from Vivid International’s Portobello range*.

Fortunately Annabelle and Lilah get on really well and often cuddle up, or go crazy running around together.

I am very proud of not just my gorgeous grandkitties, but also the kids for choosing to adopt and save lives. Did you know that black cats are the hardest to find homes for, because they are not as photogenic? 🙁

Playing with our grandkitties

Oh, and if you too are a crazy cat person and would like to see more of my grandkitties, they even have their own Instagram account: The Floof Sisters.

Do you have grandkids, grandkitties or granddogs yet?!
