Shopping the Sales

Janet Camilleri · 03/01/2014 ·

Shopping the sales - home decorI thought I’d be all shopped out after all the build-up to Christmas – so not interested in shopping the sales!

Ha! Well that lasted until the 28th … when I ventured up to Carindale (I’d done most of my Christmas shopping locally, so felt the need for a change of scenery).

I didn’t have anything specific in mind to purchase, just wanted to enjoy the cool of the air conditioning and see what bargains could be had.

Something for the House

That morning when I’d changed our sheets I’d noticed the fitted sheet was getting a bit threadbare – and Target had 50% off manchester! Not very exciting, but hey, if you have to buy sheets, it’s best to buy them during the sales. And these were 500 thread count. I do love soft silky sheets that don’t pill.

I also fell in love with this “LOVE” plaque at Typo (above) – just$4.95. My obsession with aqua continues 😉 …

Something for Me

shopping the sales - jewellery from LovisaI browsed a couple of fashion stores but just wasn’t “feeling” it – you know what I mean? I’ve got to be in the mood for clothes shopping and trying stuff on.

So instead I indulged at Lovisa, came away with three gorgeous statement necklaces, one with matching earrings, one with bracelets, one with both :-). All marked down dramatically. Gotta be happy with that!

Did you get any great bargains when shopping the sales after Christmas – or were you just over it?!

Today I’m joining up with Miss Cinders for Things I Know, because I know I bagged some great bargains!

I LOVE your LOVE plaque! Lovisa’s great, isn’t it? Every year, the same thing happens to me: before Christmas, I can never think of what to buy anyone then come the sales and I see things everywhere that I want to buy for my family and extended family but Christmas is over and I have no money left! LOL 🙂

Statement necklaces are definitely the thing at the moment and I love them because they can dress up even a t-shirt. Great work shopping Janet.

I love the Sales and I love aqua too so we have lots in common!
My favourite pick ups this year were a few lovely Metalicus pieces, a Mimco clutch and some Le Creuset cookware. Win!

Sometimes I wish I lived near you! You find some gorgeous stuff in your local stores, and at proper sales prices! You’re lucky to get a dollar off on sales where I live!

My fave is the set on the right. It’s gorgeous!

Whereabouts are you Miss C?! Yes I’ve worn that necklace quite a bit, as well as the one on the left. Haven’t given the grey set an outing as yet but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time!
