Shopping the Sales

Shopping the sales - home decorI thought I’d be all shopped out after all the build-up to Christmas so not interested in shopping the sales!

Ha! Well that lasted until the 28th … when I ventured up to Carindale (I’d done most of my Christmas shopping locally, so felt the need for a change of scenery).

I didn’t have anything specific in mind to purchase, just wanted to enjoy the cool of the air conditioning and see what bargains could be had.

Something for the House

That morning when I’d changed our sheets I’d noticed the fitted sheet was getting a bit threadbare – and Target had 50% off manchester! Not very exciting, but hey, if you have to buy sheets, it’s best to buy them during the sales. And these were 500 thread count. I do love soft silky sheets that don’t pill.

I also fell in love with this “LOVE” plaque at Typo (above) – just$4.95. My obsession with aqua continues 😉 …

Something for Me

I browsed a couple of fashion stores but just wasn’t “feeling” it – you know what I mean? I’ve got to be in the mood for clothes shopping and trying stuff on.

So instead I indulged at Lovisa, came away with three gorgeous statement necklaces, one with matching earrings, one with bracelets, one with both :-). All marked down dramatically. Gotta be happy with that!

Did you get any great bargains when shopping the sales after Christmas – or were you just over it?!

Today I’m joining up with Miss Cinders for Things I Know, because I know I bagged some great bargains!
