Surprisingly Stylish: Crocs Store Cleveland & Comp!

Janet Camilleri · 03/12/2013 ·

Crocs have come a long way in the last ten years, as I discovered on a recent visit to the Crocs store Cleveland (Qld, Australia).

I’ve always thought of them as kids or gardening shoes – perfect for messy outdoors activities and rainy days.

The traditional Crocs we LOVE to hate!

Nurses and childcare workers have made the “Alice” – a suede-look Mary Jane style Croc – their own, and with good reason. They look dressy enough for work, are comfortable for when you are on your feet all day, and you can just hose off any poo or spew!

But that was about all I thought Crocs were good for.

Crocs Store Cleveland

Until – I ventured into the Crocs store located on Bloomfield Street, Cleveland. There’s another one in Paddington, too.

I was amazed at what I found!

Stylish Wedges

All the comfort and sturdiness of a traditional Croc but with STYLE!

coral crocs

I am exceedingly tempted by the gorgeous coral sandals above … this is the A-Leigh Wedge Leather in Flamingo. They’re very flattering, and even better, middle-aged me won’t have to worry about breaking my neck learning to walk in them πŸ˜‰

But then I was distracted by these lovely oatmeal linen wedges on another shelf in the Crocs store Cleveland. After all, being neutral they would be the perfect way to accessorise so much of my Summer wardrobeΒ  … couldn’t you just see them with this dress?

Or maybe the black would be smarter?

Decisions, decisions! πŸ˜‰

Boat shoes

There is a great range of men’s shoes too, from this navy boat shoe …

To these other smart casual styles.

Did you know that there were so many different styles of Crocs these days – or am I the only one who wasn’t clued in on this fashion evolution?!

I love crocs too, and at any one time have a couple of pairs in my shoe collection. I haven’t checked them out recently though, and all these new styles look fabulous. Definitely time for another addition methinks. Thanks Janet.

NO WAY – haven’t they become very trend i!!!! I used to get paid out by ‘friends’ for wearing them, but as if I even cared. It’s all about the comfort for me. Em xx

Can’t say I’ve ever been a fan of crocs but I must admit that some of those shoes look quite nice, particularly the wedges. #teamIBOT

Janet I had no idea there were so many smart looking pairs of crocs out there. I too thought they were all about those ugly looking shoes that look like duck feet! I will be rushing into my nearest store and checking them out.

I had no idea there was different styles!!!!

I tried on TEM11’s crocs she owned last year, and was surprised at how comfy they were! I still didn’t buy myself a pair though lol I just couldn’t do it!

Yes, I really like those wedges too although I don’t know how I’d manage as I only wear flats to work these days. I have three pairs of Crocs slip ons and I love them. Have ‘liked’ the Cleveland Crocs FB page.

I reckon you could rock a wedge Mel if you were going out, maybe not for work as I know you walk to and from!

That’s a Crocs product, really? Wow. I wanna check that store.
