Tattoos for Middle Aged Women *Shock Horror*

I’ve never really been interested in getting inked, but recently I’ve actually come across a couple of tattoos I’d like.

These days, tattoos are much more mainstream and acceptable than they were a couple of generations ago. Even Mr 21 and Miss 18 have one. But I’ve never been interested.

Could I be having some sort of midlife crisis?!

Tattoos for Middle Aged Women

I blame this one on the reality show, “Inkmaster”. Although I’m not a fan of tattoos, I do enjoy this show and seeing the amazing artworks that the contestants produce on their “human canvases”.

Garter Tattoo

One week the challenge was to tattoo a garter, and blow me down, it actually looked pretty good! Feminine, a bit sexy – and unless you were wearing a bikini, nobody except your hubster would ever see it. Now I’m not into pain, so I probably won’t ever do anything about it, but I shocked myself by actually considering it for a minute!

Eyebrow Tattoo

My bloggy buddy, Jess at Peachy Keen Mumma, bravely went under the knife inking pen and lived to tell the tale – she got her fair eyebrows tattooed. I can’t tell you how much I love love LOVE this idea! Being blonde, I totally understand this – I’ve written before about how I love well-groomed eyebrows. I quickly took to the trend of using a brow pencil; but imagine having great brows without having to draw them in every morning. Love it! The results were amazing and totally natural looking.

My only question is – what happens when your brow hairs go grey (I’ve already had a couple appear, that I have just as quickly plucked out!)?

What sort of tattoo – if any! – do you think is appropriate when it comes to tattoos for middle aged women?! What would tempt you?!
