The 7 Day Denim Challenge all started when I posted this pic on Instagram a couple of weeks back, linking up with Styling You to show off my #everydaystyle.
Day 1 of the Denim Challenge

I’ve enjoyed seeing and sometimes participating in other bloggers’ style challenges, and so I got thinking … Could I? Should I? Would I?
And so, the great Middle Aged Mama “7 day denim challenge” was born.
Truthfully – I knew it WOULD be a bit of a challenge, and take me out of my comfort zone, as I only own about 4 denim pieces in total!
What I wasn’t expecting, was that a lingering cold and an eye that swelled completely shut, would make it even more challenging … I mean who feels like dressing up when they’re sick?!
I also didn’t count on the hubster (who is on Long Service Leave) deciding that it would be the perfect time to give our walk-in wardrobe a bit of a reno – meaning that I couldn’t even find half of my clothes!
But I persevered (guess that’s a passion for ya!), and just in case you missed it on Facebook or Instagram, here’s how it all panned out!
Day 2

Day 3

Day 4

As it turned out, I also managed to join another style challenge: the Style It Project with Kimba Likes and Redcliffe Style. This month the challenge is to style one piece (a black long sleeve tee) in my own way/s. I already have several of these in my wardrobe so it was easy to combine challenges: check out my Day 4 & Day 5 photos!
Day 5

Day 6

Day 7

Despite the sudden and unexpected chilly weather, and feeling sick as a dog all week, I’m really proud of how I managed to look fab thanks to my 7 day denim challenge!
Which one is your favourite? Is this a style challenge you’d like to try? If so, let me know, I’d love to follow your version of the 7 Day Denim Challenge!

Denim is the best. You can never go wrong with denim. V x
Love them all! Good for you. I really like the last one. I’m the opposite – I don’t know if I could do a 7 day denim-free challenge because I practically live in my jeans! Thanks to pregnancies and all the in-between sizes I’ve been, I think I’ve got at least twelve pairs in my wardrobe.
What a great idea, you should do it – a 7 day denim free challenge!!!
You are too cute xxx
Look at you with the leopard printed jeans – they look good!
The denim challenge looked fun! I’ve finally embraced double denim, there’s no looking back X
Nothing like a style challenge for forcing us out of a style rut! And a girl can never have too much denim, so versatile! It’s so hard to make an effort when you’re sick, you look great Janet x K
Thanks, yes I ended up with more challenges than I bargained on, hahaha.
You can certainly rock that denim Janet! The scarf and denim jacket look great!
I think I’m participating in the denim challenge everyday – the challenge for me is to not wear denim 🙂 Great challenge, you look great! Rachel x
Love me some denim! I think you need to add a few more pieces to your wardrobe. Stat! I like Day 6 the most I think.
Thanks for joining Wardrobe Wednesday x
Can you tell my hubster that for me please?! He thinks I already have too many clothes LOL!
Great job at putting together your denim article of clothing. You should be a stylist!
Thanks Kathy, what a lovely compliment 🙂
My pick is day 4. Leopard print and denim on winning combo on you. Jo xx
Thanks, yep that’s one of my faves too 🙂
