The Perils of being a Fashion Blogger

the perils of being a fashion blogger

Earlier this month I shared my winter fashion wishlist.

I mean, what harm can a little day dreaming do? It doesn’t cost anything, right?!

WRONG! Seems I did such a great job on my research, I convinced myself that I really should add all these lovelies to my wardrobe – and the next day I went online and ordered the lot! Just goes to show, I don’t just talk the talk, I walk the walk … fashion from the real world 😉 .

Although normally I avoid buying fashion online, as a regular customer of both Katies and Crossroads, I’m familiar enough with the size, cut, quality and styling of their garments, that I was confident that I would be happy once they arrived. And I was right – I am thrilled with my purchases.

Now if only the weather here in Brisbane would cool down enough so that I could actually wear them …

As shopping splurges go, it came in at around $175 – which included an extra top as Katies had $20 off online if you spent $75 or more – AND, free delivery. I am the bargain queen after all!

I’d tell myself to step away from the keyboard, but I work in digital marketing and social media management, so that’s not gonna happen 😉 .

So much for only spending $15 last month (according to my Fashionomics Report). Seems I’ve made up for lost time already! And there are still another couple of weeks left in April – so who knows how it will all end up?! Perhaps it’s just as well our overseas visitors are keeping me busy … and away from the shops and internet!

Oh, and I also worked out why I didn’t spend much on fashion last month, and it’s not just what I originally thought – that I was busy with work. Miss 19 is overseas at the moment, so I’ve lost my shopping buddy 😉 .

When was the last time you went on a bit of a shopping spree?!
