Things I Will Never Do

why are people so scared of the dentist

We all know the saying “never say never”, but at this stage in my life I think I can predict with some accuracy, the things I will never do.

Never say never …

Some would say it’s an anti bucket, or unbucket, list.

Whatever you want to call it, I think it’s fairly safe to say that the following are all things I will never do …

  1. Attend a truck show (there was one in Brisbane on the weekend, which inspired this post!).
  2. Go skydiving.
  3. Have another baby – 100% certain of this one, as I’ve had a hysterectomy (five years ago this week!).
  4. Visit a strip club.
  5. Donate blood. Not because I don’t want to, but because I am on a medication which means they don’t want my blood (sad face).
  6. Understand all the fuss about the Kardashians.
  7. Go to a nudist beach (I actually went to one as a 12 year old, with my family. What can I say, my stepfather was weird. And no, none of us stripped off!)
  8. Be a vegetarian. I love a good steak too much 😉 .
  9. Go to a wrestling match (though we have gone on the list for tickets to the weightlifting and diving finals at the upcoming Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast).
  10. Get my tongue pierced.
  11. Eat bugs or cockroaches (like you see contestants do on Survivor or Fear Factor type TV shows).
  12. Climb Mt Everest.
  13. Take a job in telemarketing (no matter how desperate I am … phone phobia and all that).
  14. Smoke another cigarette (tried it once as a teenager; not for me).
  15. Shop at Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, or any other high-falutin’ designer. Even if money was no object.
  16. Grow my nails long. Heck, what am I talking about – I’ve *never* been able to. The only way I can enjoy having long nails is with gel nails!
  17. Live without air conditioning in summer.
  18. Wear a g-string. They really irritate my butt crack.
  19. Take a trip into outer space.
  20. Intentionally do something to hurt somebody.
  21. Compete in an Olympic Games.
  22. Wear clashing prints.
  23. Stop writing. To me, it is as essential as breathing.

I actually found it quite difficult to come up with this list. Although I don’t think it likely that I’ll ever get my motorbike licence, become a movie star, or learn to play piano, you just never know …

What would be the first thing that you would put on a list of “things I will never do”?!
