Wardrobe Reno

Janet Camilleri · 23/07/2014 ·

Proud Wife Alert: have I mentioned that my hubster is a great handyman?

He’s on long service leave at the moment and decided to tackle the lack of space in our walk-in wardrobe, by giving it a bit of a makeover.

Unfortunately he didn’t give me any warning so I don’t have any “before” shots – but take my word for it, it was packed and very messy! (I mean – who takes a photo of inside their cupboards normally?!)

It only had one hanging rail all the way around. So he adjusted the height of the top shelf, and installed custom-built hanging rails to better suit our needs.

And as if that wasn’t enough, he also created a fold-up ironing station – and hooks to hang my necklaces!

I love my wardrobe reno, and what a clever clogs my hubster is! I think I’ll keep him 😉 … and no he’s not for hire!

Is your husband a handyman or do you shudder when he mentions he wants to do a little project?! What was the last thing he made?

OMG what a legend!!! Is he available for hire!? Would love a space like that, especially for ironing! I have the same iron, and LOVE it, but the only problem is finding the proper space to store/use it that doesn’t get in the way of everything else! Way to go hubby! Will have to leave this open on my computer for my hubby to see! 😉

I always love to hear a wife bragging about her man!! It’s a great change from negative comments you hear. Good job!!

    Clever clog indeed.
My husband is very handy too but has too many projects on the go at once.

Mine usually does too Trish – thankfully with long service leave he is actually getting the time to finish some of them!

I have a brilliant hubby too, who with help will always put his hand up to do things around our home…. We brought a renovators delight 🙂 🙂 🙂 – and so we had to make it livable even before we moved in. And we did major renos when our eldest was on 2 – and 18 years on we are both really proud our little old house, become a home. Where anything is possible

If you hubby is still on long service leave, do you think he could reno my walk-in robe? Love the jewellery rack and the ironing board is awesome!

Oh I need a wardrobe like that one! You do have a winner there Janet 😉 Thank goodness for long service leave. I do kind of shudder when hubby gets the handyman bug lol. I usually don’t have anything to worry about though, he does do a good job 🙂

Love your “Ironing Station” … what a great set up and you don’t have to walk anywhere to hang anything up! Making over my walk-in-robe is definitely on my “To Do” list.
