Why I’m Loving my Hair Right Now!

Janet Camilleri · 13/12/2013 ·

It’s not that I normally hate it, but I can’t always say that I’m loving my hair …

  • It’s fine.
  • It’s thin.
  • It’s limp.
  • I have an oily scalp.
  • It’s so soft and slippery that bobby pins, hair clips etc, just slide out in no time!

BUT, with a bit of help from a great hairdresser (cuts and foils), and some new products that I’ve added to my hairdressing repertoire, I can now honestly say:

I’m loving my hair right now!

I wanted to share these three finds with you, so you too can enjoy more Good Hair Days 🙂

loving my hair: products

1. KMS Add Volume – I’ve shared this spray-in Body Build Detangler before – I use it instead of conditioner, as it doesn’t weigh my hair down.

2. V05 Give Me Texture – I seriously don’t know how I managed without my Dry Texturising Spray “with sea salt for effortless, sexy undone hair”. WELL I don’t know about that but it’s certainly given my hair more volume, and the texture means that I can “play” with my hair. I’ve been having fun experimenting with different hairstyles that never worked before as combs etc wouldn’t grip and just fell out of my baby soft locks! Just check out the updo below …

3. Girlz Only Haircare Dry Shampoo – I have stolen borrowed this one from Miss 17; it says it’s for dark or deep brown hair, but I found it works just fine for me too.

Each morning when I get up and brush my hair it looks like an oil slick – I seriously have to wash it every day. But for those days when I’m in a huge rush or have to go out before I’ve had time to make myself presentable (like this morning – unexpected trip to the vet), this is a LIFE SAVER. See for yourself:

And to think I’ve lived nearly 47 years without them – tragedy!

So don’t be afraid to experiment with different hair products, and you too could be saying: I’m loving my hair right now!

Of course since I posted this, my hair is back to being it’s usual obnoxious self ;-). Must need a trim!

Well Janet, I’m willing to try anything. Now that I’m 53 and the hormones are almost dead my hair doesn’t seem to be as oily but it’s thin and fine and even at day 3 of my haircut I still hate it!

As well you should. You look gorgeous with your new hairstyle!
