Proud Mama Alert!
I first wrote about Miss Almost-17’s upcoming Senior Formal back in February over at Styling You, after we’d been formal dress shopping; then I gave a bit of a formal update in August.
And finally, last night was THE night!
So without any further ado, may I present to you the Formal Photos …

After this, nothing else even came close!

You might have noticed … I’ve been having some fun playing around with effects on Pic Monkey π
Joining My Little Drummer Boys for another round of Wordless Wednesday.
She looks amazing! I hope they had a wonderful night. Ahhhh, brings back memories. Hazy ones, but memories nonetheless π
I know what you mean Aroha … mind you it is a MUCH bigger occasion these days. Good practice run for a wedding (though not for a few years yet!)
Your daughter is truly beautiful, Janet. She has amazing eyes and I love the classic style of her dress. I hope they had a wonderful night π
Thanks Lizzy, we think so but then we are biased π
I loved her dress too, old style glamour like the movie stars of yesteryear.
Lovely pics. That dress is amazing and suits Miss almost 17 down to the ground.
Thanks Ann. It was the first dress she tried on – after that, nothing else could compare!
Oh wow – that dress is absolutely stunning! It really brings out the colour of her eyes. Great choice, she looks so beautiful.
She is gorgeous and what a beautiful dress!
What a cool and spunky couple they make – she is just gorgeous and that dress, wow stunning. Bet you were so proud and sad to see her during such a special event!!
Dad looks awfully proud too!! Gorgeous wonderful photos π
That dress is beautiful. So elegant and a great colour and fit on her. Hair looks awesome too. How proud you must be!
They’re all so gorgeous. Your daughter looks like a movie star!
So beautiful! How exciting.
Wow Janet! Your daughter is gorgeous! She looked amazing! What a beautiful dress! Congratulations!
Gorgeous dress and colour – suited her perfectly. Must be hard on Mum with her all grown up.
I know! I’ve hardly seen her this week as it’s been a dizzying social whirl for her!
Wow! I can feel your excitement and joy! It brough back memories of my own graduation dinner – it wasn’t called a formal in lil old Gympie π
Cheers,
Lynda.
When I was in Grade 8 (wayyyy back in 1979), it was called the Senior Dinner Dance. By the time I graduated in 83, it was called the formal. I’m just thankful we don’t call it a prom – that would be toooooo American for me!
Gorgeous!! And what a cute couple! I hope she had a blast!!
Hi Karen, they are pretty cute π and had a great time.
