I Must Confess: I hadn’t come across Naomi’s awesome B Style blog before.
It was thanks to the wonders of Instagram that I stumbled upon one of her photos – with a set of my favourite Ikea cube shelves in the background!
And so I not only discovered a new guest to feature here on #shelfstyle, I have also found a new style blog to stalk enjoy.
1. What room are your shelves in?
My shelves are in the family room.
2. How long have you had them?
About four years.
3. What do you store in the drawers/cupboards/boxes?
We decided to get the shelves because we needed a quick solution for the toy explosion we were having; with two boys it was messy! So all the boxes hide extreme chaos of toys, puzzles, lego and any other random bits that get get chucked in.
4. What is your favourite decorator item on your shelves and why?
My books, I read a lot of books on my iPad but I still love buying beautiful books, these tend to be coffee table, business books or fashion and styling (I call them text books 😉 ).
5. How often do you change the “look” of your shelves?
Mostly when I am having a bit of a colour change in the room, I will usually change the decorator items on top.
Hands up if you would like to browse through Naomi’s gorgeous book collection?! I know I would! Oh, and I’m quite a fan of the Parisian prints Naomi has hanging above the shelves – simple but stunning in monochrome!
It’s Your Turn!
If you have a set of Ikea shelves (or another brand – I know we don’t all live near Ikea!) in your home – why not join in the fun? I’d love to feature yours in an upcoming blog post/ All you have to do is snap some pics and answer the same five questions as Naomi has above, and email them to me at [email protected]. Oh – and you don’t have to be a blogger to join in!
What sort of books do you like for the coffee table?!
Linking up with My Home Truths.

They look great and they might even be handy for storing Lego. Shame I’d have to go to Ikea to get them, though. Personally always feel like I’m trapped in a maze in that place lol.

Funny thing Ness, the very next day the hubster went to Ikea to pick up one small thing – and I get a phone call from him to say: “I hate Ikea! It’s like a maze!”
Raych aka Mystery Case says
My girls took my non Ikea cube shelves when we made over their room recently. The styled and clean look only lasted a week or two. They wouldn’t be fit for photographing at the moment.
Janet Camilleri says
Yes my daughter’s room was always like that too 😉 .
Kirsty @ My Home Truths says
This reminds me I need to clean our hallway shelf out again! I do like the white baskets that Naomi uses in her shelf – a great way to hide the mess and look good at the same time!
Janet Camilleri says
I like the colourful boxes in yours!
Hugzilla says
Loooooove that gorgeous vignette on top!
Janet Camilleri says
It’s very classy isn’t it?!
Emily @ Have A Laugh On Me says
Good spotting Janet – she has a fabulous bevvy of books there!

We will have to raid her collection!

I’m a fan of the shelves, the books & the prints! It gives me another reason to follow the arrows around IKEA at lunchtime.

Do you work in or near an Ikea Jo?!
