Weird Stuff People Google

Janet Camilleri · 11/11/2016 ·

It’s been quite a while since I shared some of the weird and funny search terms people use on Google … only to end up here on Middle Aged Mama.

weird stuff people google

What they are searching for may not be weird or funny in itself, it’s more the fact that it has led them to my blog, that amuses me 😉 .

Take the following examples …

Teddy bear therapy psychology. I love teddies and all stuffed toys it’s true. And I’ve even seen a psychologist upon occasion. But I’ve never heard of teddy bear therapy before … though it sounds like a winner to me!

Hairy wog. Before the hubster and I actually met (nearly 30 years ago now) – his last name did create a mental picture of an Italian stallion with a mullet, gold chains, and lots of chest hair. Instead, I met the sweetest young man imaginable – my own personal teddy bear psychology therapist!

How to be skinny. Sigh. If I knew the answer to that, you’d see it in my photos. AND, I’d be a squillionaire from selling my secrets of skinniness to others …

How to make a g string without sewing. I can’t believe somebody would need to look this up. I don’t even wear g strings and I figured it out all on my own. Take two pieces of dental floss; tie one around your waist. Then tie the second piece off the first near your belly button, pass it between your legs and knot it above your butt crack. Simple!

Dungeon under house. That makes my blog sound like a competitor for “Fifty Shades of Grey”.

Nude Graduation. Seriously. What is wrong with these people? And why are they landing on my blog?!

Clean up clean up everybody clean up. This is definitely not something I would say (mostly because I know I would be wasting my breath). In fact, it sounds more like something the hubster would yell in a flap, in the 10 minutes before company arrives …

How to play tennis with acrylic nails. Talk about weird stuff that people Google … LOL. Now any regular reader would tell you that I am allergic to all forms of sport and exercise so I would be no help whatsoever in answering their question!

To finish off, I just had to share my personal favourite:

arab writing

… mainly because I have no idea what it means!

Haha I don’t think I have ever done as much googling as I did when I was a very new mum. But then the auto search terms would kick in and I’d feel less alone!! Turned out I wasn’t the only person freaking out about everything!
My husband and I recently googled Krang – the bad ‘guy’ from the TMNT because we couldn’t decide if he was a brain or intestines…
    I guess that’s weird haha.

I think I’m kinda relieved Google wasn’t around when my kids were little … I’m bad enough now, turning to the Google Doctor regularly …

LOL – too funny, the search terms and your comments on each one. I don’t think I ever googled something weird, but now I’m curious to check out how people get on my site. Thanks for the laughs

I am so impressed with your G-string idea – if only I wore them – it would be such a saving using dental floss! I am also pleased to know that there is another midlifer who is allergic to exercise in all its forms – I’ve just decided over time that sweating is against my religion.
I have no idea what people google to get to my blog – looks like I’ll have to get onto my Analytics and have a delve. Great post and a fun way to end my Sunday 🙂

Always happy to entertain Leanne! Yes, I keep hearing about exercise but … meh.
